The Teachers' celebrations was not bad, especially the party in the canteen. I must really thank those who prepared the food for the class, thanks a lot! Too bad in these years, the celebrations do not have Band or CO performances already.

Almost forgot to post today. I've been doing quite well for my prelims, my studies were unaffected to a large exrent although I'm still bugged. This shows that I'm a balanced person, lol. You are right, last time was very fun and now the fun ends, that is because I've changed to the serious mode already. But since time is so qiang, I will esteem it. As the time passes, I will regain the funness in me, lol! Everyone needs freedom. You shall have all the freedom to do whatever you like. No one is weird, everyone is special and that is what makes someone him/her.

Lol, I seem to fully recover le, great, but every time... my heart...

Haha, another ownage day. Saw that Y is a yellow solution and I was already thinking, it may be K2CrO4, and I was right! Was so damn happy when the yellow solution turned orange upon adding the acid. Anyway that solution T is H2O2, I think, and it is acting as a reducing agent here, explanation? I was quite confused over the change in colour of the iodine stuff in test 2, so heck that one. For test 6, the orange solution turned green right? Equation is Cr6+ -> Cr3+ , so it is a reducing agent, I know many people will disagree with me... Titration got 20.6cm3, and that is the most hot answer! lol. Siao liao, must study chinese le, I think I gg for Chinese... All is hidden beneath today.

Students were to investigate with science experiments on properties of different alcohols: The residue of each test was tipped down the sinks, which were grouped in threes. There were no U-bends, but each group of sinks emptied into a singlebox, which overflowed into the mains sewers. Presumably this was intended to retain things like droplets of mercury, which was not banned from use when I was 16. During the session, my bunsen went out, so I re-lit it with a splint lit from the teacher's bunsen. For safety's sake (!) I dropped the burning splint into the sink, intending to extinguish it with water, instead of waving it around in the alcohol fumes. A small blue flame disappeared down the plug hole. Hum, thinks I, I wonder where that's going? I opened the cupboard beneath the sink, only to find the drain box, full of alcohol, a roaring mass of flame. Shutting the doors, I called out, "Er, Sir...?" just as the inch-thick wooden lids blew off the adjacent un-used sinks. Fortunately, the back-blast extinguished the flames under the cupboard, so the box only sagged slightly.

On this particular chemistry practical, students are required to oxidize ethanol to ethanoic acid. They have to reflux it for twenty minutes with dilute HCl to get into go to an aldehyde and then bash it with conc. sulphuric and potassuim dichromate(VI) for another twenty minutes to make it go the rest of the way. A student was carefully following the instructions on the paper. He got as far as the aldehyde. At this point, the paper said "Add 5cm3 of K2Cr2O7." He did that. Then it said "Now using a dropper, add 10ml of conc. sulphuric acid..." He did that. Then he read the rest of the line, and it said: "...CAREFULLY, drop by drop over 10 minutes." he lifted my head to see evil looking bubbles spewing forth from the pear-shaped flask beneath a growing tower of thick orange fumes. It looked like something off the set for Jeckyll and Hyde. The boy had a pleased look on his face. He was fortunate the mixture did not explode.

Except for some time when I will get distracted and begin thinking of something else, I was practically studying the whole day, whoa, time for a bit of relax now. Not a bad day, an okay day. The only thing to say today is the Chem Mock. Too easy, not worth taling about except the calculate the bond energy of ICl. If you have got 202 as your answer, I'm sad to say, you are wrong. It's 191. Why? Here's the best explanation I can give. Let's talk about the forward reaction. I2 and Cl2 reacts to form 2ICl, giving off 11kJ of heat energy (think about this properly. In order to make sure that the energy level in RHS is equal to LHS, 11kJ of energy must be added to the ICl side to balance and make the equation valid since ICl has lost energy. Think of this, I2 and Cl2 has a higher energy level than ICl, so how can you minus 11kJ from the ICl side again? It does not make the equation true! For more confirmation, check out NYGH 2004 Paper 2 Question A5(b)(ii).Still unconvinced? Draw out the elergy level diagram and put in all the bond energies. Haiya, I give Junwei face lar. I put Star of Tears into my phone already, and listened to it quite many times already. Compared to Eyes on Me, Star of Tears isn't nice. Eyes on Me is nicer, many times nicer. (Maybe I was swayed by the lyrics, haha) Eyes on Me moved me on the first time I listened to it on headphones. Apparently, that's not the case for Star of Tears. But I still have to admit that Star of Tears have its nice parts, BUT, its nice parts take up 35% of the whole song. As for Eyes on Me, 77% of the song is the beautiful tune. I also feel that the singer in Eyes on Me can handle higher notes that that in Star in Tears. On the whole, I think Eyes on Me is nicer. After a many days of hardwork, my music project is complete! It is chosen parts of Chrono Symphonic and cutting and pasting them together. There is a storyline for it. It starts formally, then changing mood to a deadly battle. The main character then loses the fight and goes deep into depression. He decides to train himself again. After much training, he goes back to face him again. After a struggle between life and death, of course he won haha, then happy songs. The back part is super nice, so if I send you, be sure to listen the song till the end! Nowadays, I was so super affected by piano music that I put a piano piece as the finale, lol. Enjoy.

"Our Global City, Our Home." I still think last year's theme is better. Anyway, today I did not feel as if today is National Day until 6pm. The streets were already quiet when I looked outside at around 6:30, this proves that Singaporeans have the country spirit and want to go home and watch the NDP parade. The parade, although almost the same every year, owns! Especially the finale where many colours were lit up in the sky. Just like every year, I was captivated by the bright colours. It's National Day today, and I don't want to say anything bad about Singapore, so... yar.. Happy Birthday, my country, my home!

While everybody was excited about celebrating National Day, I was... haha, enjoying myself doing A Maths and Chemistry Paper. Yes! I finally finished A Maths! except Relative Velocity. To give Miss Ng face, I decided to do the Chem Prac Paper. I was half doing Chem Paper and half watching the NDP Parade.

So many things to say, I shall start with National Day celebrations. Just like every year, sing National Anthem more loud than any other day, then listen to the Recollections. Okay it is a recollection. I was actually very sentimental today. Usually, I am not, I'm only sentimental and super sensitive when it comes to music. I realised many things that I never did. To many, National Day is just a day to celebrate the nation's birthday, but to us future leaders, it means that Singapore has embarked on a newer route towards the future. Will Singapore be successful, or will the economy break down? It is really up to us. I still feel last year's quote "The Future is Ours to Make" is great. Do you want Singapore to be more prosperous in the future? It will be up to us, you know? It is a big responsibility! Why was the performances in the hall called a concert when there isn't any good music? The only concert like performance is Eva's singing.
Then, it is the performances by teachers to make us study harder. Okay, it is really useful, but I think I am working hard enough already, so... The one with the the four male teachers singing owns! Mr Koh's cartoon is super qiang! No doubt about it being his favourite, but I just felt that the songs and performances and stuff are all boys. The cartoon is mostly about the boy, how can her wife die first? Females are supposed to live longer than males! But on the whole, this programme really has a big impact. The Auditorium was cold, but I felt very warm in my heart.

For those who knows what the chinese have to do on the 15th of the 7th month, good for you, you will understand what I say. My mother brought home food that has been prayed for us to eat from my grandmother's house (mother's side). She told us the roasted duck is one of my aunt (her husband is my grandmother's son) give us one, because my aunt saw that my grandmother was discriminative and gave my mother a lousy part of a chicken. To my aunt, thanks a lot, a whole bunch, you are great, you have such a good heart! As for my grandmother... please stop your thoughts on gender discrimination! Do you know what generation we are in already? Your wai4 sun1 is smater than any of your nei4 sun1 nv3s. Haiz, I cannot blame their outdated thinking too. Ok, for my family, my mother admitted subconsciously that she showed favouritism. She treated my bother better than me. I actually didn't feel it for 15 years. For those who don't understand, here's an explanation. Let the ten children be A, B, C... If you take 10C5, there will be a case where a team would comprise of A,B,C,D,E and the other, F,G,H,I,J. There will also be a time where the team is F,G,H,I,J and the other A,B,C,D,E, which is actually the same as the above, so you have to divide by two. The people around me still keep saying, you can't play against yourself... no link! Then, Binomial Theorem, I can't do the first 3 Questions in the book! Oh no?! how now, but I can do 4,5,6 at least, LOL. So, I tell you this, I am not as smart as you all think, treat me as some lousy people and stop saying that I am smart! I have a lower IQ than Andy! (according to the tickle test) But I am changing my mood for the big exam. I dunno why, but it comes up naturally. I can study until no day no night without feeling the urge to play recently. My brother was playing and I was totally unaffected. Hope you were like me, huh? Or you think I have no life? It is not the time to enjoy life now.

Haha, nice day today... Free and nice. Nothing much happened today. I finished an English letter today, who wants to compare productivity with me? Before assembly, it's another detress moment where boys shout in the toilet! This is one of the funny things than happened. Then, we got back our test papers. The CO people are playing their songs, which dunno why, were super hilarious! I mean, it wasn't so funny, but only god knows why we were laughing like mad. I only got 36/50 for my A Maths test. Say, am I dissapointed? Yes. Sorry if I provoked anyone, but this really is a lousy score for me. Forgetting the stat. pt. 0,0 in Qn 5 and "verifying" cos (1/3) costed me 10+m. And I thought I could get very high for this test. What is this?
