Introduction
Oh haha, I thought this was necesary cos I haven't post anything for ages. I remember the last time I posted was before the busy part of PW starts, so I can blame PW for taking so much of my time that I couldn't blog anymore. But anyways, I have accumulated a lot of things to post about.

Holidays
Some people out there just stay at home throughout the holidays and do nothing. I used to do that, but I found out that actually doing something useful can be quite enjoyable too! :D I haven't wasted my time on my attachment programme after all. I would say, so far, I've been enjoying my holidays and having a fruitfu time. I'm not resting, I'm learning, and I might start next year tired, but it's all worth it for a H3. Yes.

Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology
is a great place, lol. :D I can still remember the first time I went to biopolis for attachment. I was expecting something very seh. However, I found that biopolis is a very human place! They slack around quite a bit and enjoy having lunch outside biopolis a lot. There are nice food nearby. But that's not the point. I feel that I'm so lucky to have a chance to get attached to this wonderful institute that let me try out such an interesting project and giving me a 'stipend' of $30 a day, lol. Get paid and acquire good knowledge :D Is nice!. I really learnt a lot there, and these experiences could not be gained in VJ. I'm like... enjoying my attachment there, cos science research is really fun! :D

My Project
is a hard one indeed. In fact it is imba. My mentor presented me 5 choices and I just chose the one that I'm most interested in, that is, culturing rat liver cells in 2D and 3D methods. How did it turn out? I just found out that this kind of project is done by PhD students!!! I had to work overtime for so many of my days that I got used to it by now. But I'm quite glad that I got the hardest project cause it gives me room to prove myself. Even my co-mentor says hat I'm handling the project quite well. Oh, I have a mentor who does administrative stuff, and a co-mentor who trains and teaches me to do the project. Both of them got their PhD, lol. I feel so fortunate to work with these imba people. I really have to thank them when my project ends. I really enjoy doing my project a lot, though my cells die like so easily. They are so fragile, some physical disturbance like bubble bursting can kill them all, lol. Must treat life with care, ya know :D! But I think, I also like the part when I do my assays, they're so fun and colourful. All my 3 types of assays have colours :D. Fun coloured experiments indeed.

My IBN Friends
I really have to isolate this part rom the rest. Reminiscing the past, I can still remember that week when my new friends came my student room. Especially the third week, when Theodore came and shared room with Ada, Derek and me. Oh apparently, Ada and Derek are my dear friend Moses' classmates! Speak about coincidence! These friends are really good people, easily sociable and all. They know how to treat people. We can socialise and entertain each other when experiments get boring (do happen sometimes though). We go pantry in big groups and talk and eat together. These friends are rare, people who are so nice, and share the same passion as me in science. Is like wow, I'm making friends who are just like me, really wonderful people really. Really like science research too, like me. Ada even had exactly the same ambition as me, that is really stunning. I want to be a Medical Researcher or a Surgeon, and someone can actually share the same 2 ambitions, lol. I would miss my lab days a lot when the school reopens, really, a lot. I really enjoyed myself even when I have to sacrifice my holidays to do a H3.

Joke of the... Watch your Language in Biochemistry
The Sciences are very jargon oriented and this can cause problems when over-excited scientists carry on conversations in the real world... you know, the ones without the pipettes and shakers and chemical bottles. Thefollowing are three true stories.

Politically Corrects

Two young scientists, a student and a post-doc, had left the lab afteranother succesful day. As they rode the local transit on their way home, they began a rather animated discussion about the day's results and more specifically about the success that one had with her gel retardation or mobility shift assays. On and on they went about the "retards" doing this and the "retards" doing that when a woman across the aisle from them finally turned in disgust and said: "The word is mentally handicapped and it's not very nice to call them retards." The two scientist were shocked by this sudden outburst and the woman got off of the train before the two could correct her on the subject to which they were referring.

The Cutting Edge
In a protein lab, it is common for people to set up their proteins as a fusion with other domains which are easily purified through their affinity to ligands attached to resin beads. One of the most common of these domains is the glutathione S-transferase protein or GST. Typically, thereis a small linker region between the protein of interest and the fusion parner and this amino acid sequence contains recognition sequences for proteases. After months in the lab, having limited success with her proteolysis reactions, a young female grad student finally had her patience and perseverence pay off when she destained yet another gel and saw that her protein had indeed been cut by the protease. In her joy, the young woman ran out into the hallway, proclaiming proudly to all: "I've got cleavage. I've got cleavage. Come over here. Look at my cleavage."

A Graphic Plot
In another lab, on another day, yet another young, female graduate student was working on a poster for presentation at an upcoming meeting. She had been using fluorescence to study the binding of a protein to its ligand andhad spent quite a bit of time getting just the right distribution of datapoints for her graph. After several days in front of the fluorimeter and hours in front of the computer, plotting her data, she sat back in satisfaction at her accomplishments. Seeing one of the guys from her lab passing in the hallway, she called out to him in a loud voice, "Hey come look at my figure. Are these outstanding curves or what?" They were nice curves and she had a really nice figure.

(Maybe only my labmates would understand these...)

School
It is over. Now what''s left for us is just some essential small lessons and of course, we cannot forget all our time has went to: PW! So... How's my results? lol. I haven't get back everything yet, but it's good, I think :D.

Examinations
Are coming! That's probably why I forgot to post on friday, oops. Good luck for exams, you all! :D Remember, study smart, and not spent so many hours studying, but actually gained nothing. Time should also be spent on destress, best on sports or running. Jia you, you all, hehe.

Joke of the Week
Student: What have I done wrong here? (puzzled)
Teacher: You have cancelled 4/9 to get 1/3
Student: Yeah...
Teacher: Which is well... wrong.

School
Okay, this is time of crisis. Just study. However, time spent studying is not necessarity proportonate to the things that you will learn. Quality time spent studying is what I value more.

Flyff
Gala-net came up with their new version 9. So what are my feelings? Most have already been covered by others. The minisite they made only highlights the good points and disguised all the bad points. Take 2 examples: pet and coloured buffs. Those pets loses 1 hp every second and are thus shortlived. Buffs are only limited to 14 at a time in V9. Also, I don't mind losing 6% exp everytime I die if there were no pk in all servers. What I am most sad about is that flyff is degenerating in the social way. Last time, I thought flyff was a game for civilised people. They HAD the best community, the best socially developed with all being polite to each other. This is possibly due to the assist class and their buffs, which I really like. However, flyff has socially degenerated. You will now not see Ringmasters hanging out at Bangs and helping people level. But, the flyff community has turned to the dark side as flyff goes to the dark side. PKing in all servers. I am really sad to see flyff becoming like this. Give us back our safety in non pk servers is you wanna earn money, gala-net, or we will not spend real money and lose it to other evil players. What I will now do: permanently stay in town and hang out with my friends who are still playing flyff. I stress: who are STILL playing flyff.

Joke of the Week
The Engineer walks in her office and finds her trash can on fire. She gets the fire extinguisher and puts out the fire. The Mathematician walks in his office and finds his trash can on fire. He gets the fire extinguisher and puts out the fire.
The following day: The Engineer walks in her office and finds the trash can on fire on top of her desk. She gets the fire extinguisher and put out the fire. The Mathematician walks in his office and finds the trash can on fire on top of his desk. He takes the trash can and puts it on the floor. He has reduced the problem to a previously solved state.

Holidays
Hmm, so mostly, I'm been enjoying my holidays :D. Though I completed all my work and completed chem revision as of now. Must really study when school reopens le. Holidays ending, to be happy. HappyHappy :D.

Others
I actually wanted to write something really stupid here, but as it was late now (oops, I went in to flyff to wait for Andy and lost the time), forget it. It's really stupid anyways, lol.

Joke of the Week
How to stop the school operate for at least several days:
1) Obtain a piece of potassium metal large enought to obtain REAL effect
2) Wrap the potassium in newspaper paper good enough not to let water to reach it immediately
3) Throw the wrappred potassium into the toilet and flush it down so it would go down the pipes
(Imagine what will happen if the potassium only reactes after some time due to the newspaper)

This idea was never implemented.

School
Hehe, the school term has ended. But that doesn't mean the end of our mugging, aaaaarrrr. Lol, like it matters. Time to study hard for exams. Understand all the concepts and practice them! As for GP and Geog arr... I don't know how, just study them :D. Time for holidays, take a small break, and choing for promos liao lar!

Teachers' Day 2006
VJC's teachers' day is very highly humourous, that's all I can say. It's total LOLNESS! Anyways, a visit back to DHS gave me a chance to see my Sec 4 teachers, those that helped me got my A1. Didn't manage to see my physics and form (biology) teacher, waaaa sad.

Joke of the Week
You enter the laboratory and see an experiment. How will you know which class is it?
If it's green and wiggles, it's biology.
If it stinks, it's chemistry.
If it doesn't work, it's physics.

School
As the promos draw near... Hmm, better start studying lots, you people! Got a ton of tutorials to do this week, argh. PW is gonna interfere with the promos. My method, gotta know everything beforehand already and not do last minute learnings, this is baaad, lol. I found our Math totur's joke is quite funny, haha, so I decided to post it.

Joke of the Week
If you are not going to learn integration properly in JC1, your life next year will disintegrate.

School
Another full week has passed, a fine one, I think. Lol, my homework for the weekends is all maths. :D

Flyff
I wanna write about PhoenixRising. After being there for 10 months, it hasn't really improved a lot. I'm still having low members here and there. The main reason is that people leave flyff, it's hard to come across people who stay in flyff for 1 year and 8 months and stays in the guild. It's really hard to keep a guild active with relatively lots of high level people. Ringmaster is still the funnest for me, lol.

Joke of the Week
Have fun with Chemical Equilibrium 1, lol.
Buffer Region: Range of the buff (especially GT)
Buffer Capacity: Amount of buffs an assist can give
Buffer preparation: Training a Ringmaster

Weak Base Buffer: Low int Ringmasters

School
What is there to say about a 2 day week? Lols. The National Day Celebrations in VJC is quite unique, if I were to say so myself.

National Day 2007
Really cool. Different from the past few years because of the new stadium. I say, that stadium really is imba, using many techniques to manipulate water. This year's climax, the fireworks, was unique too, although quite short, lol. I cannot see the fireworks from my house anymore!

More PW... But that's okay, the school work load is still fine. I still do my tutorials, and will continur to be. Got back my results for Mid-Years. I wonder any 07S41 got higher than 70? If not, me and Erik ties for the first :D!

Flyff
The guild upsets over the loss of a nice guildmate. It's okay, I think. Just leave her alone and she will come back soon. The guild needs a revamp! Time for kicking and recruiting! Time to get the guild hyperactive again! Lol. Spam guild chat man! The joke not that funny la, just puns and puns.

Joke of the Week
A physics student once got the following question in an exam: "You are given an accurate
barometer. How would you use it to determine the height of a skyscraper?"

He answered, "Go to the top floor, tie a long piece of string to the barometer, let it down utill it touches the ground and measure the length of the string." The examiner wasn't satisfied, so they decided to interview the guy:
"Can you give us another method, one which demonstrates your knowledge of Physics?"
"Sure, go to the top floor, drop the barometer off, and measure how long before it hits the
ground..."
"Not, quite what we wanted, care to try again?"
"Make a pendulum of the barometer, measure its period at the bottom, then measure its
period at the top..."
"...another try?...."
"Measure the length of the barometer, then mount it vertically on the ground on a sunny day
and measure its shadow, measure the shadow of theskyscraper..."
"...and again?..."
"walk up the stairs and use the barometer as a ruler to measure the height of the walls in the
stairwells."
"...One more try?"
"Find where the janitor lives, knock on his door and say 'Please, Mr. Janitor, if I give you
this nice barometer, will you tell me the height of this building?'"

(Real method being finding the pressure difference)

The only place I can scream and not get heard.

Right, I try to be the best, kindest guild leader there ever can be, but mayb e I'm just a bad person. I've played flyff for so long, I had faced problems my members will face. Why didn't I learn from the mistakes of my old guildmates and prevent myself from making mistakes causing hurt to my guildmates? Maybe, I'm just not up to it.

So Guild Leaders are supposed to take care for all their guildmates and not to be cared for by anyone. Blame it on myself for being the longest player of flyff in the guild, and being the guild leader. Now I got myself a daunting task. I had always knew that managing a guild is not easy, especially guilds that are neither noob or pro, but in between, such as our guild.

If those emo people say that they appear hard on the outside, but soft inside their hearts, I'm a totally emo crap person. A guy's way of speech, but a girl's heart and thoughts. It's either I'm really like this or I'm just a very sick and perverse person.

When I meet wihth such conflicts, I will always bring myself to look on d3y/dx3 mode, that is, look at the overview and make a judgement based on everyone's viewpoint. I tend to blame myseelf for conflicts, as it takes two to create a conflict, and I'm one of them. I've been brought up to think like this.

That night, I told him: "I hate you, all you know is show off." I said this because I understand that showing off pisses one off. I don't want him to piss anyone else off. That is the reason why I don't show off anymore. Or maybe it is because I have made him feel upset many times the past few days already.

Just after I got my blue name, I didn't call on anyone to show off/compare shades, or whatsoever. But he did, and that somehow got onto my nerve, so I decided not to see him. He got pissed and said that his presence and contributions are not felt. If this was true, he would be a rookie/supporter and not a Kingpin. I actually taught him a lot of stuff and made him what he is in flyff today (He did the later developments himself), but now he says he is a nobody. My guildmate went to comfort him, and not me, because he seems more emotionally unstable than I was, or maybe because I'm in the wrong. I don't resort to saying stuff like "Okay, so I'm a wooden block, a leecher in the guild, my contributions were nothing, etc" because I really thought they were childish and does not help the situation. But my guildmate actually went to comfort him!!! I could have done a lot of silly things, but I controlled myself. So, you people are right, I'm in the wrong. As the Guild Leader, a 17 year old, brought up in a weird family, I should have tried to prevent stuff like this which have happened to me, and hurt me, so that other people do not have to face what I have faced, and not get hurt. I guess I'm not sure mature after all, because I want actions that I think is mature to be known.

Now I understand. Adults are really difficult to be. They absorb all the feelings of anger, sadness, feeling of being wronged, guilt, and more, and can still act as if they are alright. That should be the right kind of person I shall be, from now on, die to my position in the guild. I have to be the most understanding, thoughtful, caring, helpful guild leader and to expect nothing in return, the perfect guild leader, in the perfect guild where my members wishes to be in. I came a long way, I will not give up on my guild. I founded it and will continue to love it and the people in it, make it rise.

A guild where everyone's presence is felt, requires the help of everyone.

Right, I have destressed, time to go to flyff and patch things up.

School
The Mid-years ended like, in a blink. Some random observations. In JC, only 5 topics are in exams, and this makes the exams really short, however, each paper is mind boggling and requires a lot of thinking! I'm currently suffering for a mild fever withh headache. Must be the weather dammit. Now, it's time to go back to school and study. I don't know why I actually look forward to it. Aww, forget that long Joke, it's really too long to post here.

Joke of the Week

Holidays
Lol. The holidays are ending. Hope everyone studied up and are getting ready for exams. For myself, I left GP to study, deliberately left it for last as I'm the crappiest in it. Soooo, goood luck for your exams.

New Computer!
Yes! I got a new comp finally! Missed my last weeks's post as I have no functioning computer, lol. My new comp owns! Core 2 duo (1,87GHz) with graphics card Asus EN 8500 GT. Think it will last quite some time before my comp gets out of date.

Birthdays
I've been quite lucky to have friends sharing birthdays that are sooooo close to mine. Here they are. On 20th June 1990, Eric Tay of 07S41 was born! After a day, that's my birthday, lol. On 22th June 1990, Boon Wei, DHSNPCC NCO squad 05,06 was brought to this world! Then on 23th June 1990, the very shuai Leon Gaw of 07S41 was born! Lol, to think I met these guys! 4 birthdays in a row! Here's wishing happy birthday to all the ones listed above! May your wishes come true!

Hmm, looks like no one comes to by blog except Andy, lol. In a way, that's good. :D. Completed all my work, now, start to revise for Mid years. The week was spent slacking, or at least most of it. Never mind, I had fun!

School
Yay VJ gave us full day today! However our class outing failed, lol, nvm. I came back home to face my shitty comp again. Okay, the holidays are here, hope all of you can have fun, but also, not forgetting to study for the mid-years, haiz sian (for you guys). I gotta choing for my GP. My GP teacher asks me to stop writing a geog essay, you are going to get an A if it's a geog essay. The sad part is, I havent passed a single human geog essay in both my tries, though my physical goeg is lol. Maybe physical geog is easier to score. Urgh, I got double killed again (Last time was chi and eng). You have to reflect on your previous mistakes in order to get better next time. Chem SPA today is total ownage. My friend asked me why I took so long. My reason: I'm perfecting it. Though my report is only 2 sides long, it's good. Straight to the point is my style. Oh, did you guys enjoy your full days? I certainly hope so. :) (though I didn't really) (Err, wait. No one reads my posts, if anyone reads till here, tag something, I literally mean something, please).

School
Since I forgot to post anything last week, I decide to do a special double week report. Yes nice... it's gonna be long. School: Very cool, fun Physics test came up and own us. Why are JC tests so hiong?! I left 2 marks blank, argh. Must choing for all JC tests, fast. I like the volume of iceberg question :D. Lots of "imba"lance stuff came up for both GP and Geog, maybe I shall just put up my viewpoint here, no biasedness and what so ever. First, gender imbalance. I believe ( I typed believer, then backspaced the r away, not deliberate) that this exists from the start of human race. This exists because since then, man has donimance over women because they were physically stronger and can thus gain power, and thus this mindset has long formed and passed down generations. It is hard to change this viewpoint. However, I believe the ideal is that both gender have equal power. Now, social imbalance. I believe that this exists because of the different abilities of each person. A more capable person will tend to earn more money. The human race is becoming smarter, possibly because of Natural Selection. Those who are smart are chosen by nature and would be entitled to more power and enjoy a better quality of life. For those who are poor, do not expect an income distribution or anything, but to look back and think why you can't earn more money.

Important Date
Well, look at the date man! It's my father's birthday! lol, this might not mean much to anyone of you reading this, or even my father as we don't celebrate birthdays now. But still, today is more special than a normal day and I wish my father a highly pleasing future where everything will go smoothly with no troubles. May you have yet an even higher salary... :D!

Joke of the Week
Prove that y = d4y/dx4

Workload is increasing and PW is starting to go full force. Hmm, yes, very busy and all, but still can handle. My first IBN interview has passed, and now for the final interview. I hope I can get in, it's my life leh, cannot get in then haiz, sian liao. Still, I hope everyone can handle their work well.

Recently, the "weather" has changed. During the days from January till now, my new friends have been seeing me in my Gemini state. I can't help this, but... As the year carries on, Cancer is becoming more dominant of me. The above doesn't sound like what I believe in, but, it can provide an "excuse" for my current anti-socialness. Oh and you should realise I rarely use lol in my posts, while you can find plenty in the older ones. Forgive me. Wish that I turn back.

Joke of the Week
Somebody wrote a paper about how this chemical, dihydrogenoxide, has killed over 100,000 people world wide, usually through inhalation. The story also went on that even if you wash your food you can never get this chemical off. No matter what you do you will be exposed to this very dangerous chemical every day of your life until you die. The story finished by claiming that there needs to be a government research group founded to find a solution. yada yada yada...anyhow, a local press guy got a hold of this joke, if you haven't figured it out di-hydrogen-oxide is the correct name for H2O or water. The deaths that he was quoting were from drownings. Anyhow, this local guy ran the article in a paper and started a big outcry for a government study before they realized what the story was about.

Another full week has came and gone. Precious half day on Thursday was celebrated at my grandma's house playing Mahjong and I really did show out my true powers, lol. Completed most of my stuff, I like.

Others
If you lose something in Singapore, you most probably, won't get it back again, because, Singapore did not achieve lu bu shi yi. I actually came out with an idea for the class, posted on my clas blog.

Joke of the Week
In a psychiatrist's waiting room two patients are having a conversation. One says to the other, "Why are you here?"The second answers, "I'm Napoleon, so the doctor told me to come here." The first is curious and asks, "How do you know that you're Napoleon?" The second responds, "God told me I was." At this point, a patient on the other side of the room shouts, "NO I DIDN'T!"

School
Wonderful week. Although I have been flooded with work, I sort of enjoyed them, lol, I'm kinda different, I shall say. I just realised Science Research is competitive. But I can make it, I think. Hehe, let's own it man. I will study even harder for the sake of my science research now. I got a interview at Institude of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (IBN) next Monday. Whoa, very scary, hope I can get in, if I can, I would be quite safe at the H3 level. Biology joke today, only for those who took bio before. Yes, may your quest to gain more knowledge be entertaining~

Joke of the Week
When you breathe, you inspire. When you do not breathe, you expire.

School
We went deeper into the year. It was really fast, the first day when I am in S41 was like yesterday, but now I know everyone already, lol. First time in a JC taking a Chem test. I was like, what the heck? So little time? Lucky I still can choing the whole thing. Yes, I'm enjoying my life here, haha.

My computer is really laggy and old. It is 7 years old, I hope to get a new one soon, super laggy sia, I took a long time to post this. I really miss the old times. Very very.

Joke of the Week
It was mentioned on CNN that the new prime number discovered recently is four times bigger than the previous record.

School
It has been interesting. I've been enjoying my life in a JC. It's just how you look at things. Or maybe I'm different. It's sports day today. Just a normal one. From all my short sentences, you should be able to see that I'm quite sian today. Wasted today. The whole week have been fun though. Monday, the take chinese people's first 3 period break, went to PP. Vj uniform is nice. Oh, and a side note: Science Research is really fun!

Joke of the Week
We have an algebraic pattern, however, it's not an arithmetic progression. What does (x-a)(x-b)(x-c)...(x-z) equal to? [Hint: check out the 24th factor.]

School
Studying/mugging/chionging/whateva officially starts. What's most overwhelming is GP. What the heck sia, it's H1 and yet it takes up the bulk of my time. But yes, full time studying is gonna start, whether you are prepared or not. You should make it a effort to understand stuff right in the lectures, so that you can learn better, and DO YOUR TUTORIALS! It will mean more when your tutor goes through the stuff. Oh and, PW starts, and I somehow dread it. But never mind, we can team up and I hope I will have fun with my groupmates, yea, haha. Side note: 07S41 owns.

Joke of the Week
A braggart says 2222 + 2222 = 4444
A wimp say 0.002 + 0.002 = 0.004
A mathematician says 2 + 2 = 2*2 = 2^2
An artist saysfrom two to two to two two = too two
A physicist says 2.000 + 2.000 = 4.000 +- 0.0001
A statistician says 2 + 2 = 4 with 99.98% assurance.

Holidays
I went to Genting with almost the whole of my father's side, the trip there was super song. My family take the whole coach, lol! Transtar gave us the whole coach to our family. But it wasn't so song for the return trip. The room we stayed was big, bigger than what we always did. Ok, experienced some coolness and dreamy mists, but as a whole, it was a total waste of time. On the trip back, science got better of me. How can it be possible for clouds to exist at 20 degrees plus minus only? I didn't even need cold wear. Plus, Genting isn't really so high (it's reachable by bus). But then again, the bus took 50 mins for the DECEND (I'm not exaggerating, really). Other than these, the others were not worth remembering.

Joke of the Week
"Paper or plastic?"
"Not paper AND not plastic.'"

School
For many, this week might be a smooth and easy week. For me it has been a tough one. You wouldn't know how's the feeling of not being able to study with your jc friends again until you realise it is gonna happen. For me, I tried very hard to get back what belonged to me before the JAE, and this is a very hard process. Ok, first, I have to appeal back to vjc, that's quite a simple one, just hand in the appeal form and wait. Next, when I come back to vjc, I'm posted to 07S55. I knew I had to come back, because all my friends are there and they want me to come back, especially you, (if you are the one reading this and is from 07S41). So, I went to the HOD room to appeal back to S41. Mrs Foo said I have to find someone to change from S41 to S55, then I can change back to S41, so I went to find. I found someone who was transferred out from S55 to S41, that's my luck to find her. We changed back and YAY, I'm back to S41. And I thought it's all done, sadly, hours later, I was forced back to S55 because someone from S55 wants to take KI and is not available in S55. So I went to the HOD room again. There, I met the boy who wanted to take KI, and so Mrs Foo asked us to talk. This boy is very nice! He gave up KI for me to go back to S41, I really have to thank him a lot! He went back to S55 without taking KI, and I'm finally back to S41! Yay, Woohoo! Whoa, sounds very drama, as a whole, lol, but it makes a good story of my current msn message. Yes, I'm back in S41 people!

Others
Yesterday, me and some S41 peeps went to play Mah Jong and I reached home super late, so I only posted this today. Whoa, very bad luck sia, maybe I should start refining my tactics and reconsider some stuff.

Joke of the Week
Q: What weapon can you make from the chemicals Potassium, Nickel and Iron?
A: KNiFe.

School
Nice and pleasant week. It's time to see our JAE results soon. Facing the probability of not re-entering vjc, but if I appeal, I should be able to get in. S41 peeps, I'll see you guys again.

Joke of the Week
Question: A cannonball was shot at 50 degrees with a velocity of 12.0 m/s. At the top of it's parabolic path, it hits a plane. Find time taken for the cannonball to hit the plane.
Solution: Let x be the time taken to hit the plane. The answer is x.

School
No major events this week except for the "Junior Treat Senior". It turned out to be quite nice, excpet the fact that we will have a hole in our pockets. Lol, whose great idea is it to treat the Swensens....
Major muscle aches due to real over-exertion. Tues: Badminton with family, Wed: X-country run + 20km cycling, Thurs: PE + Badminton with class, Fri: PE again.

Others
The mood of Chinese New Year continues and we'll be having a family dinner tomorrow, or actually it's today, the time I'm posting at is already considered Saturday. Getting sick of the current blog BGM.

Joke of the Week
A ten year old boy was failing math. His parents tried everything from tutors to hypnosis, but to no avail. Finally, at the insistence of a family friend, they decided to enroll their son in a private Catholic school. After the first day, the boy's parents were surprised when he walked in after school with a stern, focused and very determined expression on his face, and went right past them straight to his room, where he quietly closed the door. For nearly two hours he toiled away in his room, with math books strewn about his desk and the surrounding floor. He emerged long enough to eat, and after quickly cleaning his plate, went straight back to his room, closed the door, and worked feverishly at his studies until bedtime. This pattern continued ceaselessly until it was time for the first quarter report card. The boy walked in with his report card -- unopened -- laid it on the dinner table and went straight to his room. Cautiously, his mother opened it, and to her amazement, she saw a bright red "A" under the subject of Math. Overjoyed, she and her husband rushed into their son's room, thrilled at his remarkable progress.
"Was it the nuns that did it?", the father asked. The boy only shook his head and said, "No."
"Was it the one-on-one tutoring? The peer-mentoring?" "No."
"The textbooks? The teachers? The curriculum?"
"Nope," said the son. "On that first day, when I walked in the front door and saw that guy they nailed to the 'plus sign', I just knew they meant business!"

Quite some stuff happened. Valentine's day was like... whoa! I ate too much sweets and chocolates, lol, just like always. Then there's Chinese New Year celebrations, which we just sit in the hall and watch performances :D, damn slack.

Others
Eh Andy, that's a very bad thing to say. Oh yea, I posted late this week. Anyways, happy Chinese New Year to all. I wish you all be able to get the H3 you want to study (if any), as for Andy, I wish you can get your internet connection soon, and hope to see you in flyff as my bf again :D!!! I'll have good buffs for you!

Joke of the Week
Q: What kind of star is dangerous?
A: A shooting star.

School
Just some thoughts after watching the movie showed by Medical society. Okay, doctors need good social skills, I don't have, so what? I shall not be a doctor, I shall change my ambition to Medical Researcher, and hope I can find new breakthroughs in medicine. The week is fine, haha, Friday is the longest day and VJC gave us this day off for collecting results. Yes, the research class would be good, I'll stay till the end!

Results
My results are actually not bad, but maybe because my results aren't good compared to others, I don't really feel happy. I should be congratulating everyone now right? Eh wait, do I sound sad here? No lols around this post. But hey, my humanities actually got A2, and my hcl got B3, which is actually not bad for my chinese standard. I will remain in VJC, I WILL! Oh yea, and congrats to all who done well :D. For those who haven't, this is my message to you guys: Exam results doesn't really measure how intellegent you are, you might have a crappy L1R5 now, but you are actually very intellegent in your own way. Like me, I got a L1R5 of 9, this score actually hides my ability in math and sciences, so don't really feel sad, you can do it in your A'levels.

Joke of the Week
Some of my freshman math students are so clueless. They think General Calculus was a famous war hero! Here is a follow up: If General Calculus actually did exist, he will probably know how to integrate his troops together and differentiate between his enemies and his allies.

School
It has been a nice week, and it really makes me wonder why JC people are so nice to their classmates. Decided to take the NUS A* VJC H3 Science Research and stay till the end, it's gonna take me hell lots of time, but I think I can make it. O'level results coming soon, just hope Dunman High can get the best results, though I think not likely, lol. Can't think of any nice quotes now, the current one is super old. Shall change my blog song. Damn long joke, but super funny.

Joke of the Week

Yes, I've switched to posting weekly.

School
Whoa, lectures sux compared to sec school classroom studyings. They lecturer just goes on and on and he can't possibly pay attention to so many people, and that makes learning difficult. Ahhh, well. Things are starting to get bad, time to study hard soon, must jia you. 2 more weeks to results. Jokes is only for those who understand and are pro in Physics, I bet you don't understand it :D It's reflection and refraction.

Joke of the Week
When light passes from one medium to another, it obeys a set of partial differential equations (which "optimize" the path as it were). The light "slows down" for the amount of time it takes for it to solve the equations. But if the light is experienced enough, it can solve the equations faster than when it first started out.Truly retarded light has so much trouble solving the equations that it just gives up and bounces back into the original medium.

School
Shooting stars were spotted at East Coast. An ambience of 20 people surrounding a concrete table with handphone lights. Voices of laughter filling the air. This is what you will experience if you were part of Viene. Our OG was so special, we have our own crewlette bbq. What were the shooting stars? lol. Flying sparklers were flung into the sea when it was about to finish. The scene is NICE. More people from dhs transferred to my class, apparently, PCMG is a popular dhs choice. Economics must be very boring, haha. Now we have 3 Erics... Tay, Ng, and an Indo-chinese I've yet to know his surname.

Joke of the Week
Take a mathematician, a physicist and a theologian and locks each of them in their own room with a can of spinach, but withouth a can opener. After a week open the doors. What has happened?
With the theologian: Bumps in the can, scratches on the wall, everywhere spinach.=> He threw the can so long against the wall till it broke - He survived.
With the physicist: On the wall are calculations and in a corner a small scratch with spinach.=> He calculated the force and the angel needed to open the can. - He survived.
With the mathematician: Dead! On the wall a text: "I define: The can is open."

School
Yo VJC! Vjc super nice sia, hope you guys can come too. Started with JC study. I say whoa. The topics are the same, but super hard, needs a lot of intellectual power. Flashback: Electronic configuration of O is 2.8.6, now what? 1s2 2s2 2p6 3s2 3p4, lol, don't listen to me talk crap of you don't understand. I like my class a lot, got 9 people with DHS history, 5 came by prelims, 4 by IP. 07S41, huat ar!

Self Intro
The more deep version. If any of my new classmates comes here, ah then good. What I said in class was crap. Please don't say I'm proud, cos this is real. I have high intellectual power and this allows me to do Maths like... I do a lot of stuff in my brain then write on the paper, so you hardly see workings on my paper and you most probably don't understand what I'm doing. I am a really weird person, according to all. I behave differently everyday, might be because of my 2-fold character. My handwriting is nice, yea, haha. I HATE pop music for some reason. Many people tried to make me like it, but to no avail. Yes, instrumentals rock, just listen to my blog background music, haha. Yes, it's my favourite Home Galdove. For the rest, find out as time passes.

Joke of the Day
Customer: "How much is a large order of Fibonaccos?"
Cashier: "It's the price of a small order plus the price of a medium order."
[Extra credit question: Which Fibonaccos size is the worst rip-off?
[Extra credit answer: The smallest; it costs as much as the next larger size...]
